ABOUT

DEAD PRESS is a Los Angeles print shop founded by artist Tristan Eaton in 2019.

Tristan likes to say he has printing ink in his blood. His father and grandfather both ran newspapers in Detroit, MI where Tristan first worked as an artist at 16 years old. At 18, Tristan started apprenticing at infamous Detroit silk-screen shop The Highway Press, where he learned the process and began creating his own posters for local DJs, bands, nightclubs and radio stations. From that point on, Tristan has explored and experimented with print-making with unparalleled enthusiasm.

Over the last 10 years, Tristan has catered to an ever growing, loyal audience of print collectors. This audience has allowed Tristan and his team to expand their efforts and double down with experimental print-making. DEAD PRESS was created to take this mission to new heights with unconventional art print projects featuring innovative book publishing, silk-screen, etching, giclée, spray paint, actual gun shots and even collaborations with NASA & SpaceX on the International Space Station (ISS).
